Get the biggest market share
SEPAs popularity stems from its unique combination of geographical reach and convenience. As well as being available throughout this lucrative ecommerce region, it is also superbly
simple for the buyer.
All they need is their existing International Bank Account Number (IBAN) to either make a one-time or a recurring payment. It’s so simple for both the buyer and seller.
A note on SEPA refunds
Merchants should be aware, when a consumer pays via SEPA Direct Debit, they have the right to recall the funds via their banking environment without reason within 13 months (without a mandate) or 56 days (with a mandate) of the initial purchase.
We strongly recommend, therefore, that any merchant using SEPA does not initiate a refund within the first 56 day period, as it raises the risk of being charged twice over the same refund. To find out more, please speak to one of our experts.
